Thermionic Culture Earlybird 2.2

The Earlybird 2.2 is a microphone preamp and EQ with two channels of valve pre-amplification and a circuit layout that makes use of a push-pull class A amplification that results in exemplary gain and low distortion/noise. Its input transformers were designed to provide high head room with a low phase shift amount. Additional features include a 3-band active lift EQ with integrated high-pass filters, switchable mids, and a function switch for configuring the unit for different intendments.

Earlybird's preamps feature front panel controls for gain, impedance, phase, and 48v Phantom Power. The EQ section makes use of a varislope curve in the unit's bass and top lifting controls. Conversely, the mid control lends an inherently musical curve that melds well with the top and bass controls for an array of tasteful shaping capabilities.

Users can combine the Earlybird 2.2 and Pullet for a glorious mastering EQ.
