The AXR4 includes four hybrid mic preamps developed by Yamaha, providing a clean, clear response with no rival. These preamps pass through licensed Ruper Neve Designs Silk processors, a transformer stage that allows users to emulate the behavior of classic Neve consoles. You have the choice of Red or Blue Silk behavior, great for emphasizing the high end and low end, respectively. With continuously variable Texture control, this allows you to tailor the harmonic response of these preamps to whatever source you're recording.

AXR4T employ's Steinerg's Super Suppression Plase Locked Loop technology to create an affordable alternative to using an expensive master clock to reduce system jitter. This keeps all of your gear running in time, eliminating the inconsistencies that can result from several improperly synced devices. This is especially important given the AXR4's 384kHz/32-bit integer recording quality—allowing near-perfect preservation of all of the nuances of your sound. Integrated Yamaha DSP allows for latency-free monitoring through effects based on classic studio gear, making tracking feel more comfortable and natural than ever before.

With plenty of analog I/O, ADAT and AES/EBU support, integrated MIDI input and output, and even the ability to stack up to three AXR4 units, this interface is designed to fit seamlessly into any studio.
