SSL's Alpha Channel delivers the iconic analog sound of the classic SSL consoles in a compact 1U format. The combination of a high-quality mic preamp, filter, EQ, dynamics, and A/D conversion circuits makes the Alpha Channel a great addition to any setup. On top of that, the Variable Harmonic Drive (VHD) circuit provides a warm analog tone to any signal, making it especially useful for digital-heavy studios. Alpha-Channel also features an Intelligent auto limiter which helps to avoid clipping while maximizing the recording headroom.
