On the left side of the front panel, the MK8's preamp section features an intuitive envelope control and rich drive, perfect for dialing in the optimal tone and transient shape for smooth chords and screaming solo lines alike. A three-band parametric EQ lets you fine tune the tone of your instrument, with a sweepable mid-range for creative applications. The versatile multi-waveshape vari-pan effect adds stereo movement that can extend into audio rate ranges, providing a wide scope of effects to explore. On the right side of the instrument, you can expand your sound even further with four analog effects, including compression, phaser, chorus, and delay. These last three bucket-bridgade designs offer a dark character perfect for the Rhodes sound, adding anything from subtle enhancement and interest to dramatically altered tones.

With the two inputs for expression pedals, you can assign expressive control over multiple panel parameters, cultivating plentiful opportunities for nuanced expressive gestures.
