Presonus TubePre V2 Microphone Preamp
Much like the original TubePre, the Presonus TubePre v2 is a pristine tube preamp with a dual-servo gain stage. This latter feature lets users boost the program signal to higher levels without elevating the background noise. The TubePre v2 provides an exceptional dynamic range that is simply not found in similar single-channel tube preamps.
Compared to its predecessor, the TubePre v2 offers an exorbitant array of sonic possibilities, otherworldly tube saturation, and an upgraded XMAX™ Class A solid-state preamp that precedes a 12AX7 vacuum tube. The tube can be imparted onto the mix simply by turning the Drive knob clockwise. Doing so takes the overall sound from comfortably warm to emphatically saturated.
