NUX Tape Echo
Designed as a tribute to the classic Space Echo from 1974, the NUX Tape Echo features their Core-Image technology to faithfully reproduce the characteristic tape delay textures digitally. Outfitted with standard controls for Bass and Treble to fine tune your tonal texture, you have a Time, Repeats, Level and dedicated Reverb controls. There's also a few modern amenities such as Type-A MIDI I/O, USB-C connection, and a small screen for selecting options, presets, and animating the virtual flow of the audio. Using the USB, you can update firmware and send MIDI over USB, however, there is also a companion program that opens up all the options for you to adjust in real time. A handy feature in the software is the ability to change the routing of the delay and reverb from Delay->Reverb, Reverb->Delay, or have them run parallel. A Space Echo modeler wouldn't be complete without an SOS looping option and the Tape Echo has it. Simply press both footswitches at the same time and you enter SOS/Looper mode, record your loop, and when you exit it will continue to play. If you're looking for a compact, robust sounding delay, the NUX Tape Echo is a fine choice.
