Noise Engineering Gamut Repetitor

Specializing in spontaneity and surprising musical results, Gamut Repetitor is a generative voltage and trigger generator by Noise Engineering. With four channels, Gamut Repetitor can easily provide multiple independent streams of musical voltages, linked together by global parameter settings. Twenty-seven different musical scales are available and may be selected manually with three toggle switches or dynamically with control voltages. Additionally, you have control over the Root note as well as the general tendency of notes to move downwards or upwards.

Like a lot of generative music modules, Gamut Repetitor allows you to lock into specific phrases that it creates. If you hear something you like, bring the Length control down from infinity to a variety of numbers from one to 32—corresponding to the number of steps to be in the resulting loop. Trigger inputs on the left allow you to advance through the loop at whatever rate you desire. These can be passed along to the corresponding output, but it is also possible to let Gamut Repetitor create new trigger patterns, where patching them back into other channels allows you to go all in on the generative fun.
