Morningstar Engineering MC8

The MC8 is a powerhouse pedalboard MIDI controller by Morningstar Engineering, providing exceptional versatility in the MIDI messages that may be sent by its eight footswitches and a number of other handy features. The MC8 provides 30 banks of assignments for its eight footswitches, with the ability to assign up to 16 different messages per footswitch. These can be MIDI messages of any type ranging from program and control changes to note, SysEx, and beyond. You can also make use of Actions, allowing you to send different messages depending on whether you Press, Hold, Release, or Double Tap a switch.

MC8 provides four Omniports: 1/4" TRS jacks that may be individually assigned as MIDI outputs, aux switch inputs, or expression pedal inputs. There's also standard 5-pin MIDI In and Out ports, along with a USB port for both power and connection to computers. This allows for communication with the Morningstar Editor App, where you can easily craft patches, build setlists, and explore deeper functions like the MIDI Waveform Generators.
