Moog Muse
Moog's fourth ever polyphonic analog synthesizer is the Muse, an eight-voice, bi-timbral stereo keyboard synth with an intuitive layout and classic sound. Thanks to two discrete ladder filters and a stereo VCA, you can get parallel processing of the sound to create a gorgeous stereo image. Push your sound and get a natural break up with the saturating mixer (an underrated but vital part of the Moog sound), so you can add extra harmonic content to your signal. Using the pair of beloved Moog oscillators, you get your choice of a triangle/sawtooth mix and variable pulse wave with the option to blend between the waveforms on each of the VCOs. This can make for some interesting and complex waveshapes, especially when used in combination with the Ring Mod. If two VCOs aren't enough, the third Modulation Oscillator can be pushed into audio rate giving you a third VCO that can switch between sine, sawtooth, reverse saw, square, and noise. Using the two Moog transistor ladder filters you can sculpt your sound in luscious stereo, series or parallel, switching between lowpass and highpass at your leisure.
Modulation is courtesy of the aforementioned modulation oscillator, a pair of envelopes and a pair of LFOs all with the option to be routed to various parameters thanks to the Mod Map with 16 modulation slots per timbre. However, the true star for creating sonic possibilities is a vintage-digital, multi-tap-delay-inspired Diffusion Delay that takes advantage of the stereo architecture and can create otherworldly sounds. Adjust the left and right delay times independently, with the option to adjust the Character, along with standard Feedback and Mix controls.
Instantly get your patches up-and-running with the knob-per-function layout, so there's no guesswork behind secretive menus. A 64-Step sequencer, Arpeggiator, and Chord Memory opens up the melodic possibilities allowing for rich compositions. Other features are Glide, independent Pitch LFO, and Voice Control for mono, poly, detune, voice stealing, and per-timbre adjustments. Moog's Muse represents the next generation of Moog synthesizers that bring classic analog sounds into modernity with incredible flexibility, features, and portability. If you need a synth for anything: stage, studio, everything in between, the Muse is the synth for you.
