Meris Hedra Rhythmic Pitch Shifter Pedal

Hedra from Meris is a rhythmic pitch shifter with three pitch shifters and linked delay lines, making it great for complex rhythmic pitch shifting, harmonies, and polyrhythms. First, set the key and scale selection, which will set the notes available for the pitch shifting. The pitch shifting offers two octaves above and below the base note. The delay is a tap tempo delay with feedback and 520ms of delay, with the ability to slow that down by half. Each pitch shifter has a delay setting and can be offset from the master delay tempo with divisions of that clock speed. Four delay modes are available, including a long series delay, series delay with pitch shifting in the feedback loop, dual delay lines each with their own feedback in stereo, and dual delay with cross feedback for bouncing stereo delay. Microtune detunes each voice, capable of everything from a chorusing-type effect up to warbly pitch shifting with feedback path.

Hedra can be set to no correction, loose correction, or strict pitch correction that removes note bends and provides a stair stepping effect between notes. On the other side of things, glide can be added for a smooth sliding between notes. The expression pedal input provides control over every parameter. Set the expression pedal all the way down to the heel position and tune the settings to your liking. Then move the pedal all the way to the max toe position and make a new setting, and now the expression pedal blends between these two settings. MIDI integration allows the Hedra to be controlled with external MIDI controllers, DAWs, and more. This rhythmic pitch shifter moves past simple pitch correction and adds complex delay lines that can provide harmonically rich and rhythmically complex results.
