Knobula Monumatic

Monumatic from Knobula is the next generation of polyphonic Eurorack modules, featuring eight-voice polyphony with sixteen different oscillator modes, six filter types and full MIDI and CV control, all in a compact 12HP. It's designed with simplicity in mind, featuring a wealth of customization options within a relatively small amount of controls. The Monumatic uses virtual analog algorithms rather than samples to generate its voices, giving you access to deep modulation capabilities and organic timbres. In addition to the MIDI TRS input for full eight-voice polyphonic control, there is also a mono mode that can be used with the eight built-in chord preset slots, each of which can be customized and saved for later use with a single CV and Gate input like any monophonic Eurorack voice. Along with all the controls you'd expect in a fully-featured polyphonic synth voice like an ADSR envelope and resonant filter, the Monumatic also includes less obvious but equally crucial controls like envelope depth for pitch and filter cutoff, glide time, per-voice panning for stereo spreads and a fully-polyphonic Key Follow switch to adjust the filter cutoff to match the frequency of whatever note you're playing.

The Monumatic includes sixteen different oscillator modes, ranging from faithful recreations of classic polyphonic synths, to asymmetric sync oscillators for unbridled squelching chaos. These oscillator types include Square, Pulse, PWM, Sawtooth Sync and Square Sync, Noisey Tape, Mild and Full supersaws, along with several different flavors of organs, as well as percussive organ and square sounds for tactile rhythmic stabs. The classic synth emulations include a Casio inspired phase distortion oscillator, Solina-style strings, a Polymoog vox humana pad sound, and Oberheim X8 inspired strings. Monumatic also features six different filter types: a 24dB/Oct lowpass, all pass filter/phase shifter, formant vowel filter, 12dB/Oct lowpass, 12dB/Oct notch and a 12dB/Oct highpass, all of which can be can be injected at the filter stage with one of two mild or strong overdrive settings. Additionally, Monumatic features a lush stereo chorus and 24-bit stereo reverb, making it a powerful stand-alone synth, or a reliable companion to any larger system.

The Monumatic also includes an intuitive assignable CV feature. Simply plug a patch cable into either of the CV A/B inputs, and twist a knob to assign its destination for instantaneous modulation. It supports CV control over all of its parameters, along with MIDI MPE compatibility for even deeper levels of performance. The Detune/Temperament control gives you a vast set of oscillator mode-dependent controls, while the Temperament control allows you to adjust the fine pitch of each individual oscillator, giving the Monumatic a perfectly in-tune futuristic feel, or a subtly out-of-tune analog feel. While some dedicate entire Eurorack systems to polyphony, the Monumatic from Knobula packs a fully-featured eight-voice MIDI compatible synth into a modest 12HP, inviting systems of all size to join in on the polyphonic party.
