If you need a flexible DJ-mixer style MIDI controller with extensive mapping options, look no further than the Faderfox DJ4. Faderfox has been making high quality MIDI controllers with an emphasis on performance for quite some time—and they’ve pulled out all the stops with the Micromodul DJ4. At its core, the DJ4 is a MIDI controller with obvious inspiration from a traditional DJ mixer, but it packs the functionality of massive mixers into a package that can fit easily in a laptop bag.

Designed around Traktor from Native Instruments, the DJ4 provides eight high-quality ALPS knobs for EQ and filtering, three faders for mixing, over 24 buttons for switchable functions, and four push encoders for FX and global settings. You don’t need to use Traktor to dive into the DJ4 however, as it is a class compliant USB and MIDI controller, making it capable of controlling DAWs and other software, as well as MIDI devices such as hardware synthesizers.
