The Electro-Harmonix Hot Tubes Nano Overdrive is a welcome reissue of their CMOS Hot Tubes device. It makes use of the same design, albeit much more compact, meaning users can implement all the best aspects of the original in an even smaller space.

The pedal’s Volume and Overdrive parameters can be used in tandem to achieve everything from subtle rasping to shrieking behemoths. A third parameter, Tone, gives users another means of fine-tuning their sound, while the Tone On/Off switch offers a convenient means of bypassing the parameter entirely.
