EarthQuaker Devices Life Pedal

Life Pedal v2 from Earthquaker Devices is an octave fuzz was made in collaboration with Sunn O))) to provide the same full and rich overdriven amp rattling sound present on their album Life Metal. The octave fuzz is inspired by the tones found in the classic Shin-Ei FY2 and FY6 fuzz pedals.

Life Pedal v2 uses Russian Germanium diodes based full wave rectification to double up the signal. After the octave fuzz, the signal is routed into a Rat White Face-style distortion circuit with distortion to add character and filter to round off the higher frequencies. It also features a three way switch to select between op amp, symmetrical, and asymmetrical clipping. The Life Pedal's final stage includes a clean MOSFET boost to push your tube amp into saturation. The octave fuzz and booster feature their own foot switches and can be used independently.
