The good people at Earthquaker Devices return with their new pedal—introducing Plumes, a tri-clipping overdirve. The Plumes features a circuit based on the Ibanez Tube Screamer, but with the added twist of three separate clipping methods. This gives Plumes an array of tonal control and options not present in other overdrive pedals.
Clipping mode 1 offers symmetrical clipping: this is the most present and severe of the modes, giving a destructive bite to the sound. Mode 2 is a clean boost, perfect for pushing your tone into the forefront of your sound. Mode 3 is asymmetrical and is the most similar to a stock Tube Screamer effect: however, it utilizes more output as well a more "transparent" tone. This is a perfect pedal for those musicians looking to add a tasteful bite to whatever sounds they may make.
