The Behringer HB01 Hellbabe is an optical wah pedal, perfect for expressive wah filtering. A built-in spring automatically returns the pedal to the neutral position, leaving your tone unaffected—so as soon as you let go of this wah, the effect is bypassed entirely. Because it's an optical wah, there are no mechanical parts to wear out, ensuring a long lifetime for this pedal. You have adjustments for level, Q, and tone sensitivity, plus five envelope types that determine the sonic character of the wah.

The HB01 has an adjustable wah sweep that ranges from 440–250Hz, making it suitable for guitar or bass. The fine control allows you to tailor the frequency sweep to as high as 2.2kHz. The Q or resonance control is musical and gives emphasis to the wah frequency. In addition to the wah functionality of the HB01, a built-in boost effect adds more character to your input signal.
