On the left side of the 2-XM, two identical voice modules provide the main hands-on control for sound sculpting. Two VCOs with sync and pulse width modulation capabilities provide plentiful harmonic content to craft diverse sounds, while a dedicated mixer section with noise source and external input let you go even further. Crucial to the sound of this legendary design, the warm analog filter can be smoothly morphed between low pass, notch, and high pass modes, while a switch enables an optional band pass mode. Two onboard LFOs and envelopes help get these sounds moving, offering a vast territory for timbral exploration.

To the right of these voice modules, a two channel mixer section lets you pan and blend each voice, with stereo output for immersive sound.
