The MD7 from Avedis Audio is a versatile 500 series preamp, sporting a front-mounted 1/4" input for using line-level instruments as well as a 1/4" Send jack for using it as an effects loop. The absence of a Pad switch lets you drive the transformer, coaxing out a pleasant saturation. A simple dual, stacked knob control gives you coarse and fine adjustment for the input gain with a switch to engage a high pass filter. Ideal for line level instruments, but works great for interfacing with effects pedals using the Send/Return jacks and can be used for re-amping. Discrete 1122 op-amp architecture brings depth and resolution to anything you throw at the MD7.
