API 500-6B

API's 500-6B 6-Slot High Current lunchbox is a premium quality standalone rack for 500-series modules. It is specifically designed to fit perfectly into the smaller project studio setups, and as a portable solution for professionals whose work requires traveling with gear. However, it can easily become an integral part of larger studio setups, and installed into a standard 19" rack via the rack ears conveniently designed by API. The lunchbox is outfitted with DB-25 and XLR connectors on the rear, as well as internal phantom power bussed on pin 15 for interface with the API 512c Mic Preamplifier. In essence, if the 500-series format is appealing to you, this lunchbox provides all you need to support a seamless workflow with your favorite modules.

NOTE: Pin 15 on older API 560A equalizers was used for "direct output", and must be disabled by cutting a trace on the circuit board edge connector to prevent 560A from being damaged by 48 volts.
