AKG D112 MKII
The AKG D112 MKII is AKG's successor to the original D112, and it is still amazing for all the same reasons and more. Its high-SPL handling and punchy response make it many engineers' go-to choice for kick drum, bass cabinets, and low brass.
The D112 MKII's low-end power is partly due to its diaphragm's super low resonant frequency. A narrow presence boost around 4kHz helps it to cut through ultra-dense mixes. As such, the D112 MKII is an ideal choice for any low-end sounds that need to retain their power and presence in live and studio situations.
